Indrajit Kundu

Indrajit Kundu is a noted television journalist in Kolkata who reports from across East and North East India. He is currently the Kolkata Bureau Chief of the India Today Group.As Deputy Editor, Mr. Kundu is currently in charge of managing operations of the Kolkata Bureau for the TV Today Network which includes the English news channel India Today, Hindi channel Aaj Tak, Bengali news platform Aaj Tak Bangla and other digital properties.
Apart from a deep understanding of politics in the region, he has extensively covered social issues with a focus on conflict, human rights and the environment. In a career spanning 14 years, he has worked with brands such as Times Now, Newsx, TV Southasia and The Statesman. His 2016 documentary on the Indo-Bangladesh enclave dwellers was nominated for the prestigious Red Ink Award for human rights reporting. Mr. Kundu was selected as one of India's emerging media leaders by the United States Department of State as part of its prestigious IVLP programme in 2021.
An alumnus of the Asian College of Journalism, he also holds a BBC certificate in Broadcast Journalism.
