Food Writer

Kalyan Karmakar is an award winning food writer and brand consultant. He is the author of The Travelling Belly, published by Hachette India, and is the author of one of India’s pioneering food blogs, www.finelychopped.net. He had spent the first 15 years of his career as a consumer insights specialist. He is a brand consultant at Finely Chopped Consulting where he combines his experience in the worlds brand consulting and food writing to power brands in the food sector. As a columnist his words can be found in The Times of India, Femina, Indian Express and NDTV Times among others. He is a podcaster and his award winning podcast Foodocracy For Her is dedicated to featuring women in the Indian food industry.
